USA National Anthem Lyrics
United States of America The Star Spangled Banner
Oh, say! can you see by the dawn’s early light What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming; Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight, O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming? And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there: Oh, say! does that star-spangled banner yet wave O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave? On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep, Where the foe’s haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o’er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning’s first beam, In fully glory reflected now shines in the stream: ‘Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh, long may it wave O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave! And where is that band who so vauntingly swore That the havoc of war and the battle’s confusion A home and a country should leave us no more? Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps’ pollution! No refuge could save the hireling and slave From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave: And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave. Oh, thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand Between their loved home and the war’s desolation! Blest with victory and peace, may the heav’n-rescued land Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation! Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: "In God is our trust": And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

R&B singer Patti LaBelle splash half a bottle of water at a woman and her 18-month-old daughter after a dust-up over parenting in an apartment building lobby, according to a lawsuit filed Monday and the family’s lawyer.
The star, who took over as lead singer of Black Sabbath after Ozzy Osbourne left the group, had been battling stomach cancer.
According to his website, he had been undergoing treatment at a Houston hospital.
His wife Wendy, said on his website: "Today my heart is broken Ronnie passed away at 7.45am 16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss. Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever."
Julie Cowell, 82, says her son’s signature honesty began to show up early, at age five. “I bought a new hat and asked him if I looked nice in it. He replied, ‘You look like a poodle.’ It would only upset me if he really was a nasty person. Simon isn’t nasty – he’s just honest.”
Cowell said Simon, who just turned 50, was raised in the UK on politeness, which is more important to her than his wildly successful television career. Julie often goes to the studio to watch the son she said informed her he would not be getting married at the tender age of 19. “I thought he might change his mind, but he’s now 50 and it doesn’t look likely to happen.”
Julie, who survived breast cancer 14 years ago, recalled her husband Eric’s death of a heart attack on the day Simon had his first Number One in the US with Westlife. She said: “Simon phoned me from America, thrilled. I couldn’t bring myself to tell him that his father had died, and I said I’d call him back. I wanted him to have his day of celebration but he had to be told, so [Simon’s brother] Nicholas called him. He came straight home and was devastated.”

It just goes to prove that money and fame cannot make you immune to normal human feelings and suffering. The sad news is depression still affects us all; rich and poor alike. And singer Alicia Keys; as gorgeous and successful as she is, is one of those to suffer. The fab ‘No-One’ artist has revealed that a tendency to bottle up her feelings leads to feelings of hurt and anger. She said: “I was feeling so sad all the time, and I couldn’t shake it. I started burying my feelings, and it got to a point where I couldn’t even tell my family or my friends, ‘I’m twisted,’ or ‘I’m exhausted,’ or ‘I’m so angry.’ I became a master of putting up the wall so that I was unreadable.”
Thankfully Keys has since pulled through that tough time and is enjoying life with current boyfriend Kerry Brothers. But it is a note to remember that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side; and no-one is above being human.
The Sunday Observer magazine recently named one of the best selling international artists of 2007 as their ‘Man of the Year’. The title couldn’t have gone to anyone more questionable, at least when it comes to the ‘man’ part but congratulations goes nonetheless to Mika.
In the accompanying interview, the singer talks about what he’s planning to do for his next album. He says that “I come back I won’t come back apologetically. It’ll be another pop album. And it’ll be a hurricane.”
Do you think that the world is ready for Hurricane Mika? Well, if he says that it’s going to be ‘another’ pop album, I guess we have our answer.
Z100’s Jingle Ball was held on Friday at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It was attended by some of the hottest stars and featured some great performances from them as well.Avril Lavigne and Alicia Keys are only two artists who performed at the event. Both of them did great. I have no question about Alicia Keys, she always does great. Avril Lavigne is another case because she’s been known to be flaky but I guess she’s got the holiday spirit and actually did a good set.
A lot of other artists took to the stage. A debut was even made – Ashley Tisdale’s new nose!
Ashley Tisdale has had an extremely busy year promoting her album and her hit song “He Said, She Said” which is currently climbing the charts. What better way to wish your friends a happy holiday than with a message or song clip from Ashley! The new Audio Gifts Facebook application enables users to send a special holiday gift from Ashley: facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=2534336806&b&ref=pd.

The photo on the very right cropped an inch below her skirt would have made an awesome cover! Is it too late to change the cover?? I don’t remember which artist but I remember someone changed their cover in the last minute because people were complaining or we…The other thing, for me seems that this album has not been made with any heart or soul in the making of this album. It is just a small piece of wreck that they have put some things together one after the other and put it on sale. It’s like they got her to stand in a photo shoot, took some pictures then asked some one to get her Starbucks coffee while the technical staff pasted some pics of leggy girls and add some really bad colors to the cover and then did some old fashioned photoshop stuff and got her nod coz she was still busy sipping the coffee and have released it without getting into much details. This were she requires a manager, a trusted person who can tell her that she is simply making herself look like a jerk head in this album.
Dance star Moby has hit out at Madonna’s “obscene” $120 million record deal, insisting too much money is thrown at artists. The Material Girl agreed to the deal with tour promoters Live Nation after ending her long-term agreement with Warner Music. Moby is just saying this because can never crack a deal at half the amount of the Madonna deal and all those who think she old and finished and should sit in some rocking arm chair this goes to show that she is still the queen of pop and rules the roost in the entertainment and music industry. She gets that much because as an entertainer people would pay $20,000 per ticket to watch her performances at special events and they often get their money’s worth. Now if Moby can concentrate on doing a good album or something he would be better off, I just hate it when some crap singer cannot withstand the success of the more accomplished persona of another singer, it’s like I am in the well drowning but I won’t let you out either if you not helping me get out.
Pop singer Ashlee Simpson previewed a few songs of her upcoming album, due in November, last Saturday in Las Vegas and MTV News was there and can tell us how they are. The track titled “Murder” is the album’s first single, it was supposed to come out in ringtone format on September 7th according to Geffen.com but nothing so far
